A very good, collectible copy of the first edition of the fourth novel from this National Book Award nominated and Pulitzer Prize winning author, signed on a bookplate. First Edition, First Printing as designated by First Edition printed on the copyright page. Encased in protective dust jacket cover. Included (in addition to first printing dust jacket) is facsimile dust jacket. A very good, hardcover with green cloth-covered boards and spine with gold stamping. There is fading to top board edges from exposure to sun and the spine is faded. The gold stamping is slightly worn on the front cover and spine and there are small imperfections on the front and rear cover. There is a slight lean to the spine and there is wear and dings to the bottom board edges. The board corners are rounded. Top stain a bit dirty but solid. Pencil erasure residue on the front free endpaper. Not ex-library, no previous owner markings, book plates, or remainder marks. Author signature in black ink on bookplate affixed to first half title page. Good, unclipped dust jacket with price ($6.95) encased in protective dust jacket cover. Flap corners and edges creased/bent or have sunning, top corner of front flap has tear. Top and bottom of spine wrinkled, spine has darkened. There is an abrasion (probably from a sticker being removed) from the front cover. Rear cover slightly dirty from wear and shelving. Encased in protective dust jacket cover.
