1. Shadow on the Rock first edition, first printing: Publication Year 1931. First printing as indicated by First Edition printed on the copyright page. Condition Very Good, soiling/dirt to top page edge, board corners slightly rounded, but not bumped. Slight staining on endpapers from glue, minor pencil marks on front free endpaper. Label on spine faded, sunning to spine and on top board edges. Good second printing dust jacket. This is the second printing dust jacket, with a different design from the first printing dust jacket. light green variant dust jacket. Crane described this as associated with fifth printing books, so this dust jacket was probably married to the first edition, first printing book. Not price clipped, but no price on dust jacket as issued. The flap corners were machine clipped. Tears/large chips at top and bottom of spine and top and bottom of front and rear covers. Spine faded, dirt and staining on front and back covers. Encased in protective dust jacket cover. Included (in addition to the original dust jacket) is facsimile dust jacket.
