A very good, highly collectible first edition, first printing of this novel by this Pulitzer Prize winning author. First Edition, First Printing as indicated by "First Edition" printed on copyright page with no additional printing information. The dust jacket front flap stated that "This first edition of "Ann Vickers" is limited to Two Thousand, three hundred and fifty copies printed on rag paper.
A very good hardcover copy, blue cloth-covered boards and spine with gilt stamping. Spine has very slight lean. Bottom page edges slightly scuffed, textblock edges dirty. Endpapers have pencil markings from previous booksellers. Board corners slightly rounded, bottom board edges worn from shelving, top of spine bumped. Spine slightly faded from sunning. Not ex-library, no previous owner markings, book plates, or remainder marks. Good original first printing dust jacket with no price as issued. Flap corners are machine clipped, which was not uncommon for this era. The spine and covers have chipping and tears at top and bottom edges. Dust jacket is smudged, dirty from shelving and use. Encased Brodart protective dust jacket cover. Included is facsimile dust jacket cover for further protection.
