First Edition, First Printing, as designated by either prepublication status (copyright page for advance uncorrected proof copy is incomplete) or full number line (beginning with 1) on copyright page.
(1) Advance uncorrected proof copy - A fine, signed softcover advance uncorrected proof copy in bright pictorial wraps (nearly identical to hardcover dustjacket). Book is square, spine is tight. Cover corners just minutely short of sharp. Encased in Brodart PlastiKleer DuraSaver book cover. Author signature only on full title page in blue ink. Included is information from event at which book was signed.
(2) Signed first edition - A fine, signed hardcover copy, cream colored boards with sharp corners, brown colored spine with gold lettering. Book is square and solid, spine is tight. Minor wear on bottom board edges from typical shelving. Not ex-library, no previous owner markings, book plates, or remainder marks. Looks unread. Author signature only on full title page in black ink. Bright, unclipped dust jacket ($24.95 price intact) encased in protective dust jacket cover. Very minor wrinkling to top of spine.
(3) Signed, tipped-in page first edition - A fine, hardcover copy signed on a publisher's tipped-in page. Cream colored boards, brown colored spine with gold lettering. Book is square and solid, spine is tight. Dings/wear on bottom board edges from typical shelving. Bottom corner of front cover slightly bumped. Front cover flares slightly when book laid on back. Not ex-library, no previous owner markings, book plates, or remainder marks. Looks unread. Author signature only on publisher's tipped-in page in black ink. Bright, unclipped dust jacket ($24.95 price intact) encased in protective dust jacket cover.
